thrombophylia
An increased tendency to clot due to an excess of any of various factors promoting coagulation in the coagulation cascade. Sufferers are more prone to clotting in veins (fibrin-rich clotting) but are not always (depending on the precise defect) at increased risk of coronary heart disease and heart attack.
